Muscular Management of Sacroiliac Dysfunction 2

Movement training has been shown to be highly effective in the management of sacroiliac joint dysfunction when understood and applied correctly.

This workshop explores the reasoning and exercise interventions to manage symptomatic Sacroiliac Joint (SIJ) conditions, with a particular focus on integrating the Pilates method of exercise.

SIJ dysfunction is a complex topic as there can be many manifestations and causes, making it complex to assess and treat. This workshop will focus on the structure and function of the SIJ, review common symptoms and presentations, and  apply Pilates repertoire and exercise for the management of painful SIJ conditions.

Repertoire inclusions will focus on the posterior oblique sling, lumbo-pelvic stabilisation and mobilisation, and functional movement selections.

Workshop content equates to approximately 6-8  hours of contact training with support study. You will have six weeks access to this workshop.
