Drawing on decades of apprenticeship, teaching, and mentorship, Deborah brings Carola’s studio approach, principles, teaching artistry, exacting standards, and her own experience to life, offering rare insight into how the method was practiced, refined, and passed down.
This workshop is a unique opportunity to explore the history, philosophy, and practical application of Pilates through the eyes of two extraordinary teachers — Carola Trier and Deborah Lessen — and to bring their combined wisdom into your own teaching
The Workshop Experience
- Upon enrolment participants will be provided access to an online component, approxinmately1 hour in duration, as preparation for the workshop. This online preparation will provide specific historical information to underpin Deborah’s workshop, giving time to process and set a foundation of knowledge from which to work.
- In the live online workshop will encompass Carola’s approach with Deborah’s experience training and working with Carola and related history and experiences. The foundational repertoire will be explored through theory, teaching techniques and focus specific to this lineage. The work will be explored practically with demonstrations and opportunity to do some of the exercises during the workshop.
- Following the live online workshop, you will retain access to the online course components including review and wrap up sessions for 21 additional days.

The workshop will be provided live online via Zoom and the zoom link for attending will be sent the evening before the workshop. Enrolments will close 48 hours prior to the workshop.
