Andrew will deliver Immersion in Sydney, in Two Parts. Each part will include

  • 6 x 8 hour contact sessions in studio
  • 6 x 2 hr scheduled Zoom sessions
  • Online curriculum and assessment quizzes

Each Part:

One Instalment:  $ 2,550.00 paid on registration

Payment plan:  $490 x 6 instalments

There is also the option to buy a ‘topic’ from the Immersion program that would include the contact day, zoom session, online curriculum and study for that topic. Each topic cost is: $600 single payment.

Contact sessions in Andrew’s program include

Andrew’s Immersion program will take students through a 12-month exploration in 2 parts, of common musculoskeletal issues and what can be done to relieve symptoms and help restore function.

Part 1. will explore conditions of the spine and pelvic, and Part 2 moves on to exploring the appendicular skeleton. Participants are welcome to complete individual parts, or the complete program as a whole, or even one subject session.

On successful completion of the overall program graduates will:

  • Have a strong understanding of common musculoskeletal conditions of the spine & pelvis, shoulders & upper limbs and hips & lower limbs
  • Be able to apply biomechanical principles within programming strategies
  • Understand and apply Pilates-based movement interventions to assist in relieving symptoms and developing strength and function
  • Use evidence-based repertoire selections and variations on the Mat and Pilates specialist apparatus including the Reformer, Cadillac, Chairs, Barrels and small apparatus
  • Have a library of useful cueing and teaching techniques that enhance current teaching skills

This immersion program gives students an opportunity to work closely with Andrew as he shares research and his teaching experience to better enhance movement teaching practices and corrective work. Participants will also have strategic self-mastery programs developed that progress current movement practice.

Between each Contact session will be a Zoom Clinic session with the group on dates tab, and distance study, activities and quizzes to be completed.


Optional program additions:

  • Opportunity to undertake observation of Andrew teaching – by arrangement
  • Individual coaching session – by arrangement

  • Spondylosis
  • Ankylosing Spondylosis
  • Spondylolisthesis
  • Spinal stability & flexibility

Contact Day 1.2:  Ageing & Neural Conditions

Sunday 22nd August 2021, 10am – 4pm

Pre-contact study, contact session and zoom session will focus on the understanding, research applications in the studio, repertoire applications and movement-based intervention for:

  • Osteoporosis: Extension bias application
  • Degenerative disc disease & Spinal Stenosis
  • Radiculopathies and neural anatomy

Contact Day 1.3: Joints & Strength

Sunday 5th September 2021, 10am – 4pm

Pre-contact study, contact session and zoom session will focus on the understanding, research applications in the studio, repertoire applications and movement-based intervention for:

  • Disc injuries/NDLBP/QL spasm
  • SIJ Dysfunction
  • Scoliosis
  • Cervical spine strength

Contact Day 2.1: Upper Limbs

Sunday 12thDecember 2021 10am – 4pm

Pre-contact study, contact session and zoom session will focus on the understanding, research applications in the studio, repertoire applications and movement-based intervention for:

  • Biomechanics of the shoulder joint
  • Scapulohumeral rhythm
  • Rotator cuff injury and tendonitis
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Lateral/Medial epicondylitis
  • Wrist and forearm strength – The Pilates handbag

Contact Day 2.2: Hips and Lower Limbs

Sunday 27thFebruary 2022 10am – 4pm

  • Biomechanics principles and strength
  • Genu Valgus/Varus, Foot pronation/supination
  • Balancing the pelvis and Trendelenburg gait
  • Knee osteoarthritis

»  Zoom group session: Sunday 15 May 2022, 10am-12pm

As a long term senior faculty member and program developer for PilatesITC, Andrew has trained, coached and mentored students across all government accredited training courses, and holds formal Training and Assessment qualifications. He has specifically researched and written on topics including sacral-iliac joint papers, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and is the Reach Mens Health expert program developer. He has presented training for Pilates On Tour as well as nationally and internationally.

Andrew brings a wealth of movement experience to his work from decades as a dancer, teacher, barre and Pilates specialist and studio owner. His humour and personality are present in everything he does, making training with him fun, motivating, and ultimately a great learning experience.
